Before beginning his career in financial services in 1985, Eldon worked in education as a teacher, counselor and superintendent. Education has been a constant in his life. He has earned the Certified Financial Planner^™ certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning, and earned degrees from Graceland University, University of Nevada-Reno and Northern Illinois University.

Originally from Newark, Illinois, he resides in Blue Springs, Missouri, with his wife, Bonnie. They have been married 51 years and are active in their church, having led college-age adults on mission trips to Belize for the past two decades. They also love spending time with their four children and 13 grandchildren.
